Portrush Lifeboat Station does the Belfast Marathon!

Crew and supporters from Portrush Lifeboat Station are entering three teams in this year's Belfast Marathon on 2nd May 2005. They will be running to raise funds for the Portrush Lifeboat Station!

Kelly Allen Team Captain

The three brave teams will be captained by Mechanic Anthony Chambers, Crewmember Kelly Allen and Admin/Press Officer Judy Barr.

All our entrants are currently hard at work pounding the roads of the Triangle in preparation for the big day, as they will be in competition with teams from other Lifeboat Stations in Northern Ireland!

David Boyd of Roadside Garages in Coleraine has very kindly sponsored the team bus to take the teams and supporters to and from the event.

The teams will all be wearing RNLI Vests during the race, which will also advertise the Raft Race at the end of May.

So if you are in Belfast watching the Marathon on the big day then please give the Portrush Lifeboat Teams a big cheer to help them on their way!
